Oil & Gas Piping Engineering Internship Program
Our Oil & Gas Piping Engineering Internship Program is structured to provide hands-on exposure to the major engineering and design disciplines involved in oil and gas plant development. The program introduces participants to real project workflows, engineering documentation, and industry-standard software used by EPC contractors and engineering design companies.
Key training modules include:
• Piping Design – 3D modeling using AVEVA E3D and SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), equipment modeling, piping routing, clash detection, layout development, and isometric generation.
• Piping Engineering – Understanding Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), line lists, pipe specifications, material selection, and fundamentals of plot plan and equipment layout development.
• Pipe Stress Analysis – Introduction to piping stress concepts including thermal expansion, sustained loads, pipe supports, and an overview of stress analysis using CAESAR II.
• Pipeline Engineering – Fundamentals of onshore and offshore pipeline systems, routing considerations, and basic pipeline design concepts.
• Drafting and Detailing – Preparation of General Arrangement (GA) drawings, piping isometric drawings, and pipe support drawings used during plant construction.
• Piping Materials – Selection of pipes, fittings, valves, and flanges along with preparation of Material Take-Offs (MTO) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for project procurement.
• Project and Document Control – Introduction to engineering document workflows, revision control procedures, and technical document submission processes used in EPC projects.
